VWM : Credits

First, I would like to thank my employer, Hewlett-Packard, and their excellent commitment to open-source. VWM is the brainchild of several years worth of itch scratching in between major projects. Without their spirit of contribution, this release would have not been possible.

VWM was inspired by a number of wonderful projects and with the help of many talented developers. I would like to give credit to those projects and individuals.

Twin – The only other comprehensive window manager I have seen for the console. The design of VWM was heavily influenced and shaped by what I saw in the Twin screenshots.

Screen – A wonderful program which allows you to use multiple full-screen applications on the same tty.

Thomas Dickey, William McBrine, and all the wonderful persons on the bug-ncurses mailing list. They patiently answered my annoying questions for the last 18 months.
